William “Hank” Lyon is now in his fifth year as a freeholder. He Lyon joined the freeholder board on March 9, 2012, at the age of 24, as the youngest freeholder in New Jersey. Hank was then elected to fill a two-year unexpired term on the board in November 2012, and in November 2014 he was elected to a full three-year term. In 2016, Hank was elected deputy freeholder director.
He is a lifelong resident of Morris County, specifically the Towaco section of Montville Township, where he was a member of the Montville Housing Committee. He now lives in Parsippany.
Hank works in the family business which consists of restaurants and real estate, focusing his attention on operations. He was selected by the Daily Record newspaper as one of top 10 citizens in Morris County to watch in 2013.
He graduated cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross with degrees in Physics and Economics. On Sunday evenings you can find him at his church, Emergence, and in his spare time, Hank enjoys reading, staying active at the gym, and, of course, spending time with family and friends.
