Two Morris Towns Holding Municipal Fun Fests this Weekend

Pequannock and Rockaway Borough Celebrations Planned

(JPG, 13KB)Autumn is still officially a week away, so summer fun will continue this weekend in two Morris County towns --Pequannock and Rockaway Borough - which are holding local celebrations this weekend.

Pequannock Township will host its 36th annual Hoedown from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15 at Greenview Park. Local businesses and organizations will have booths, along with retail vendors, crafters, games, petting zoo, hay rides, good, live music and fun for the whole family.

It will feature a host of family friendly activities, with pony and hay rides, games, crafts, kiddy rides and booths featuring numerous local organizations. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 16.(JPG, 57KB)

Celebrate Rockaway Borough at the borough's Street Fair on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 1-5 p.m. There will be food, fun and music for the entire family. Included will be a horse and carriage, bouncy house, petting zoo, street bowling, an wandering magician, and train rides. Miss New Jersey, Jaime Gialloreto will be a special guest, appearing at Remax Select at 120 W. Main Street. Also, there will be an open house at the Rockaway Borough Police Department.
