PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTERS FOR COLUMBIA TPKE AND VALLEY ROAD BRIDGES
Morris County, in coordination with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority and New Jersey Department of Transportation, is planning improvements to the Columbia Turnpike Bridge in Florham Park and the Valley Road Bridge in Long Hill and Bernards Township.
The goals of each project are to address structural deficiencies of the 90-year-old bridges and increase safety for motorists.

Public information sessions to update the public on the objective, status and schedule of each project are set for Tuesday, Sept. 11, in Morris Township, for the Columbia Turnpike project; and Wednesday, Sept. 12, in Bernards Township, for the Valley Road bridge project.
In addition, the Public Information Centers also will provide an opportunity for residents to comment on potential improvements developed as part of this study.
"We again urge our area residents to attend these information sessions so they can learn, first-hand about this proposed work and to offer their advice to the professionals who are working on these projects,'' said Morris County Freeholder John Cesaro.
