North Jersey Ornamental Horticultural Symposium -- at CCM on Jan 7-9

The North Jersey Ornamental Horticultural Symposium, a gathering for professionals in the green industry, will be held from Jan.7-9 at County College of Morris in Randolph. The deadline to register for the event is Friday, Dec 21.
The event will be sponsored for the 58th year by the Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station Cooperative Extension County, whose agricultural agents will lead the symposium in cooperation with CCM.
- Turf is the topic on Jan. 7. Speakers will address grey leaf spot and other diseases, insecticide, pesticide and related issues.
- Trees are the topic on Jan. 8. Sessions include how to decide whether or not to remove a tree, fertilizer, Emerald Ash Borer and Spotted Lantern Fly, pruning for disease management and pesticide related issues.
- Various landscaping issues will be the focus on Jan. 9, when experts will discuss landscaping topics including new woody plants and pest-related issues.
