You can get vital information tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 6-8 p.m., when the town of Morristown host a 2020 Census Job Fair at the Morristown Senior Center, which is located in the municipal building, 200 South Street, 3rd floor, in Morristown.

The U.S. Census is recruiting thousands of people across the state and nation to assist in the 2020 Census count. Jobs include field supervisors, recruiting assistants, clerks, office operations personnel, and Census takers.

The Census is particular seeking people to be census takers, going door-to-door to get census information from county residents who do not fill out the census forms that are mailed to them. The hours are flexible and the pay is $21 per hour.

Available jobs will last at least eight weeks, starting in March or April, and with a good possibility of time period extensions.

Census officials stress that you can earn extra income while helping your town, county, and state community be properly counted. You can get:

  • Excellent Pay
  • Flexible Hours
  • Temporary Jobs, with no long-term commitment
  • Work in Your community

Participants in the Morristown Census 2020 Job fair will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of the census, available job opportunities, and to apply for a Census job in person.
