Morris Weather: Possible Flash Floods Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 8:30 p.m. for Morris County.
At 4:23 p.m., radar indicated heavy rain is falling across the county. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen, and additional rain is possible.

Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.
Some locations that could experience flooding include sections of Boonton, Chester Borough, Dover, East Hanover, Florham Park, Hopatcong, Lincoln Park, Madison, Mendham Borough, Morris Plains, Morristown, Mount Arlington, Mountain Lakes, Netcong, Rockaway, Stanhope, Victory Gardens and Wharton.
Many small streams are likely to flood in areas of heavy rain. Motorists are advised not to drive through flood waters.
