The start of the contest coincides with the beginning of Teen Read Week„¢, a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association. The theme of this year's Teen Read Week is It's Written in the Stars: READ."
At Morris County Library our mission is to encourage young people to be regular readers and library users, and it is our hope that this contest provides an outlet for youth and teens from all over Morris County to express their creativity and connect with the resources and services that Morris County Library offers.
Morris County Library is funded directly by the County Freeholders as a hub for learning, information, entertainment, and creative exchange. In addition to offering new books, research help, public computers, and public programs for adults, teens, and children, the county library supplements Morris County's municipal libraries with its extensive reference and circulating collections, public meeting rooms, Libraries-by-Mail and other county-wide initiatives.
