Morris Storm: JCP&L Restoration Update

(JPG, 8KB)Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) continues to restore service to customers that lost service as a result of Tuesday's severe storms.

Restoration to the vast majority of the remaining 20,000 customers is expected to be completed by 11:30 p.m. tonight

Some customers in areas with the most damage, will be restored tomorrow (Friday).

Service has been restored to more than 86,000 customers

The retail water and ice program was opened yesterday, and continues.

Customers who are without power and have not reported their outage should call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) to report their outage or click the Report Outage link at www.firstenergycorp.com.

Customers should continue to report any downed wires to the company or their local police department and never go near a downed power line, even if they think it is no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled in trees or other debris.
