Published on August 01, 2019

Dozens of colleagues, friends and family members, along with a bagpiper and the Morris County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard, bade happy retirements this week to Sheriff's Office Chief Edward Crooker and Detective Captain Bruce Dunn after 25 years of service.

As crime scene investigators, both officers formed strong bonds with law enforcement partners and Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon when the Sheriff was a major crimes and homicide detective and deputy chief of investigations for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

Chief Crooker and Detective Captain Dunn poured their minds, hearts and hard-earned knowledge into every criminal investigation they undertook -- earning the respect and gratitude of victims, survivors, their families and colleagues.

The Morris County Sheriff's Office and Board of Freeholders wish both gentlemen healthy and happy retirements.
