Morris Prosecutor: Seek Public Help to Solve 2011 Murder of Kenvil Diner Owner

REWARD IS $50,000 REGARDING THE DEATH OF CHAFIC "STEVE'' EZZEDDINE

It has been seven years since the murder of Chafic Steve Ezzeddine at his place of business, the Kenvil Diner. On a Saturday in 2011, on Memorial Day weekend, Steve was found murdered inside his beloved diner.

Kenvil Diner, located on Route 46 in the Kenvil section of Roxbury, had been owned and operated by Steve and his family for some 30 years.

Every year since 2012, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office has issued a statement encouraging the public to assist law enforcement to provide information that may help solve this case.

Any information could be helpful, and any and all information will be accepted. Allow the law enforcement professionals to determine what may be relevant and what may not.

The investigation of this crime has been active for seven years and has spanned not just Morris County and New Jersey, but multiple states. It has been a collective effort by numerous law enforcement agencies, led by the Roxbury Township Police Department and the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

However, multiple other agencies have provided valuable assistance in these efforts, to include the Morris County Sheriff's Office, Morris County Medical Examiner's Office, New Jersey State Police, New York City Police Department, New York City Medical Examiner's Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the United States Secret Service.

Although another year has passed without an arrest, these law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to actively pursuing any and all information that may lead to an arrest.

The Ezzeddine family, who lost their patriarch on that Saturday in 2011, remain devastated by their loss, but optimistic that justice will be served.

The Ezzeddine family, in coordination with friends and family, continue to offer a reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for the murder of Steve Ezzeddine. Coupled with the Morris County CrimeStoppers reward money, the total reward is $50,000.

Although the Morris County Prosecutor's Office remains fully supportive of the Ezzeddine family, this Office is not involved in any aspect of the reward being offered.
