Morris Prosecutor: Arrest Made in East Hanover Restaurant Robbery

(JPG, 14KB)Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and East Hanover Township Police Chief Christopher Cannizzo have announced the arrest of Alteriek F. Scott, 38, of Irvington, on criminal charges stemming from an armed robbery that occurred two weeks ago. 
On Aug. 12, East Hanover Police investigated an armed robbery at Five Guys Burgers, located at 240 Rt. 10 in East Hanover. The robbery occurred just after closing.
The suspect entered the business and allegedly threatened the employees with a knife. He then fled the scene with cash in excess of $500.
As a result of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Alteriek F. Scott. East Hanover police, in cooperation with the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, the Newark Police Department and Irvington Police Department, arrested Scott last Friday, Aug. 25, in Irvington without incident.
Scott is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, theft, and weapons charges. He was remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morris Township.
