Perfect for County Residents with a Passion for Gardening and Lawn Care

(JPG, 123KB)For Morris County residents with green thumbs, and those whose thumbs may be a little off color, an upcoming series of events offered through the county Park Commission may offer some good advice to help keep your lawns and gardens healthy this summer season.

Events offered by the Friends of Frelinghuysen Arboretum range from perennials to pests:

TONIGHT June 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m. -- What's so great about Native Perennials
June 23, 10 a.m. to noon -- Integrated Pest Management: To Spray or Not to Spray
June 25, 10-11 a.m. -- What You Need to Know About Spotted Lanternfly
June 29, 2-3:30 p.m. -- Native Plants for Cut Flower Gardening
July 23, 2-4 p.m. -- Flowers Galore Tea and Tour. (Also Aug. 20, Sept. 10 & 24)
July 28, 10-11:30 a.m. -- Butterfly Gardening by Jane Hurwitz

(JPG, 8KB)In a related event, the Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center offers a free butterfly walk with the North American Butterfly Association, Friday, June 22 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. To register, visit njconservation.org.
