Morris County Winter Weather Update

MORRIS COUNTY COURTHOUSE CLOSED
Update, 10:50am: The Morris County Library will close at 1pm. Sheriff foreclosure sales scheduled for today have been cancelled and will resume next Thursday, January 11.
(JPG, 17KB)Morris County is currently on track for snow which already has arrived and should end later this afternoon. Total snow accumulation is expected to be 3-to-6 inches, with more snow falling in eastern areas of the county.
Winds will be Northwest at 12-to-22 MPH, gusting to 35-45 MPH, and with peak gusts of 50 MPH. The strongest winds will be from late afternoon through tonight with the possibility that gusts will continue into tomorrow.
We are currently under a Winter Weather Advisory, Hazardous Weather Outlook for today. A Wind Chill Advisory is in place for Friday and Saturday.

Due to weather conditions , the Morris County Courthouse is closed today, Thursday, Jan. 4. County government offices are open.

In the event of severe weather, customers should immediately report downed wires to their utility, or call their local police or fire department.
