Expect Work on Roads in Dover, Morris Township, Parsippany €“ and Soon in Chatham

Paving crews are working this week on a 1.7-mile stretch of Comly Road/Ryerson Road in Lincoln Park and Pequannock, one of several projects underway as part of Morris County's 2019 countywide road resurfacing effort that has targeted some 30 miles of the county's vital road network for improvements this year.Road work sign(JPG, 15KB)

Milling and paving soon will start on South Morris Street in Dover; paving and striping should be completed shortly on South Street in Morris Township; and pre-paving concrete work continues on a 1.7-mile section of Littleton Road in Parsippany, from Route 10 to the Parsippany Road area.

In addition, the county plans to go out to bid in early June on a resurfacing project for North Passaic Avenue in Chatham Borough and Florham Park.

Road closures and detours will be signed and coordinated with the local police. Work hours are coordinated with each municipality. Motorists should expect delays. Bicyclists are urged to seek alternate routes.

We are working closely with the affected towns and their police to handle traffic flow and needed detours, trying to get the work done as quickly as possible to minimize inconvenience to our residents,'' said Freeholder Stephen Shaw. We ask residents to be a bit patient as we try to get this work done for you.''
