Morris County Library to Close for HVAC Work
Published on April 22, 2019
Closing Expected Next Thursday or Friday, April 25-26
Replacement of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units on the roof of the Morris County Library, which was set to be done on Friday (April 19) €“ when the library is closed for a holiday €“has been postponed due to an uncooperative weather forecast that calls for rain.
The work had to be rescheduled, with crews now expected to replace the HVAC systems on Thursday, April 25, with a rain date of Friday, April 26.
The work involves the use of a crane for the removal and replacement of equipment on the roof, with all of the work to be done near the library's front driveway, which also will be the site of the staging area for equipment and contractor vehicles.
As a result, the library will be closed to staff and patrons on Thursday April 25, with a potential for closure on April 26.
Reservations to use the library's public meeting room and conference room for both days have been canceled. Library-sponsored programming set for either day will proceed as scheduled on the day the library is open, either April 25 or 26.
