Morris County Library Runs Free Films on Fridays

Films are Free; Seating is Limited

You are invited to the Morris County library's free screenings of recent blockbusters films and independent movies for adults on Fridays at 2 p.m. Films are free and on a first-come, first-served basis. All showings are in the public meeting room. Films for children run on Monday afternoons at the library. So check the schedule and come on in.

June 28: On the Basis of Sex. Biography, drama. The true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her struggles for equal rights, and the early cases of a historic career that lead to her nomination and confirmation as U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice. When Ruth takes on a groundbreaking tax case with her husband, attorney Martin Ginsburg, she knows it could change the direction of her career and the way the courts view gender discrimination. July 5: Instant Family. Comedy, drama. A couple find themselves in over their heads when they decide to foster three children. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, Isabela Moner. (2018, PG-13, 1hr&58mins)

July 12: Alpha. Adventure, drama, family. An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age, Alpha is a fascinating, visually stunning story that shines a light on the origins of man's best friend. While on his first hunt with his tribe's most elite group, a young man is injured and must learn to survive alone in the wilderness. After the young man reluctantly tames a lone wolf abandoned by its pack, the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies in order to find their way home before winter arrives. July 26: Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald. Adventure, family, fantasy. In the Harry Potter Universe, this is the second installment of the Fantastic Beasts series featuring the adventures of Magizoologist Newt Scamander.
