PUTTING TOGETHER HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS FOR THE NEEDY FOR THANKSGIVING -- NOW
The Interfaith Food Pantry of Morris County is seeking donations to help with its annual Thanksgiving Basket Program, which provides turkeys and other items for a complete Thanksgiving meal to Pantry clients and to other Morris County agencies.
(PNG, 6KB)According to Pantry officials, they supplied more than 1,600 Morris County families with turkeys and bags of Thanksgiving food last year. And the need has not declined.
"There is always a need to help families in Morris County who are hungry and who may be suffering through some lean times,'' said Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo, the county governing board's liaison on human services issues. "The freeholders encourage all of our residents to help give these families a helping hand, especially during the holidays.''

Distribution of turkeys and Thanksgiving items will begin on Nov.1 and continue until Nov. 21.
