Chatham Dance Group to Perform; Morris Resource Fair Booked for June
Sunday, May 5, 2-2:30 p.m.: Envision Dance Exchange performance at this weekend's Abilities Expo at New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison. This Chatham dance group includes dancers of all abilities. For more information visit www.danceinnovations.org/dipf or call 973-635-1205. The expo also features a booth with state officials from the New Jersey Office of Emergency Preparedness who are offering information directed toward people with disabilities; and a workshop on preventing insurance fraud by the Tracy M. Thompson, Acting New Jersey Insurance Fraud Prosecutor from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on May 5.
Thursday, May 16 from 2-6 p.m.: Warren County Disability Resource Fair at Warren County Library Southwest Branch, 202 County Road 519, Phillipsburg. Morris County people with disabilities, their families, students, educators and caregivers are invited to learn about the resources in the area including vocational and job training opportunities, disability benefits, estate planning, adult services, housing, recreation, higher education opportunities and more. At 5 p.m., a special session on Able accounts will be presented by professional financial planners.

Sunday, June 2, from noon to 4 p.m.: Family Fun Day and Disability Resource Fair at Central Park of Morris County, 91 Central Ave., Morris Plains. This all-day event includes a disability providers and resource fair, disability sensitivity station, face painting, STEM activities, games and prizes. Entertainment includes appearances by Elmo, acoustic music, crafts, turtle races from Snakes-n-Scales.
