Morris County Clerk Names Winners of County Manual Cover Contest

Morris County Clerk Ann F. Grossi is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Morris County Clerk Manual Cover Contest.
The County Clerk’s Office received 146 submissions for the annual cover contest from high school students throughout Morris County. After careful consideration by judges County Commissioner Tayfun Selen, OPRA Officer & CBA Secretary Sheila Leary and Chief Clerk Anna McMahon, the following students were named winners of the 2021 Morris County Clerk Manual Cover Contest.
First Place: Conner Everett, a senior at Morris Catholic High School and resident of Whippany. Connor's artwork appears on the cover of the 2021 Morris County Clerk Manual. He received a $500 scholarship. Connor enjoys soccer, programming and robotics. He is a member of the Italian National Honors Society, and the Vice President of the Morris Catholic Robotics Club.
Second Place: Ariana Eschrich, a freshman at Morris Hills High School. She received a $200 scholarship. Ariana has been drawing traditionally since she was a toddler. Her career goal is to become an illustrator. In addition to this award, Ariana also won first place in last year's Atlantic Health Art Contest. She said she is thankful for both the recognition she has received from the awards, as well as the confidence boost this has given her to pursue her artistic goals and dreams.
Third Place: Alessandra Dotzman, a senior at Morris Catholic High School and resident of Kinnelon. She received a $100 scholarship. Alessandra is a member of the Italian National Honor Society and captain of both the Fall and Competition Cheer Teams. Alessandra is planning on pursuing a career in nursing with a specialization in pediatric cardiology.
The Morris County Manual is a comprehensive resource containing the names and contact information of elected and appointed officials at all levels of government. The annual publication is designed to help simplify doing business with the various departments, boards and commissions and with all 39 municipalities throughout Morris County. Each year, the Morris County Clerk conducts an art contest to select a cover for the Morris County Manual. The contest is open to all high school art students within the county. The creators of the top three covers selected by a group of judges are presented with monetary scholarship awards by County Clerk Ann F. Grossi.
