The date for the ballot, set by state law, is April 14. However, because that date falls on Good Friday, which is a legal state holiday, the law mandates the drawing be moved to Monday, April 17.
Residents interested in the primary election process are very welcome to attend on Monday to get a first-hand look at how we determine positions on the ballot, said County Clerk Grossi.
Morris County Primary Election voters this year will decide on gubernatorial candidates for the Democratic and Republican Parties. Also, all Senate and Assembly seats and one spot on the Freeholder Board will be determined at the polls in 2017.
The ballot drawing will be held in the County Clerk's Office, on the first floor of the Administration Building at 10 Court Street in Morristown.
