Morris Arts Outdoor Fest on Sept. 12 -- Calls for Entries Now!

Outdoor Exhibit and Sale Set for Sept. 12 at Lewis Morris Park
Morris Arts has issued a call for artists -- musicians, performers and visual artists -- to participate in a fun, family afternoon of the arts on Saturday, Sept. 12. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 13.

In collaboration with the Morris County Park Commission, Morris Arts will present Morris Arts Fest, an outdoor art exhibit and sale at Lewis Morris Park, in Morristown, N.J.. The application deadline is Monday, August 31.
Details of the event:
When: Saturday, Sept. 12 from 3 €“ 7 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 13 from 3 €“ 7 p.m.
Where: Lewis Morris Park's Sugarloaf Area at 270 Mendham Rd., Morristown, N.J. The area has restrooms and parking. Artists will be setting up in the open field which is why tents are encouraged.
Participant Guidelines:
- All art mediums are eligible to apply.
- The registration fee to participate is $25.
- The registration fees is non-refundable and due at the time of application approval.
- Exhibitors are encouraged to bring a small tent and water to keep cool.
- Exhibitors must stay with their artwork for the duration of the event.
- Exhibitors are not permitted to sell food or beverage or any other items on site.
- All current social distancing guidelines are mandatory.
- All artists must wear a face mask for the duration of the event.
- Morris Arts will not take a sales commission for any artwork sold.
- Electrical hook-up will not be available for exhibitors.
- Pets are not permitted.
Set-up and break-down:
- Set-up begins no earlier than noon on Saturday, Sept. 12 or on the rain date of Sunday, Sept. 13.
- All set-up items such as personal tents, tables and chairs are the artist's responsibility.
- All set-up and break-down is solely the responsibility of the artist.
- Break-down may not occur before 7 p.m. and must be completed by 8 p.m. on Sept. 12 or on Sept. 13 in case of rain.
- Exhibit space must be left trash free.
How to Apply:
To begin the application process, please email the following information to Kaity De Laura at kdelaura@morrisarts.org:
- Artist name
- Brief bio or summary of artwork
- Photo examples of the artwork you wish to bring to the event
- Artist website (if applicable)
Entrants will receive a response within 48 hours of submission. If approved, artists will be emailed the registration link for confirmation. Morris Arts will send set-up location with a map one week prior to event. The registration fee is $25 and is non-refundable.
