For the past 36 years, attendees have flocked to Giralda Farms, the gracious lawns of the former Dodge Estate in Madison, to enjoy a live performances by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the art/fine craft shows and sales, children's/family arts activities, creative picnic contests (for lavish prizes), and to sample delicious fare from participating food trucks.
However, the current pandemic poses a serious health threat. The musicians, in particular, would be unable to perform on their travelling stage since its tight quarters prevent sufficient social distancing. Additionally, large gatherings of people €“ typical of past audiences €“ remain inadvisable at this time.
The organizers say they remain hopeful and look forward to the time when this special tradition can resume safely. In the interim, they urge you to stay safe and healthy and to visit Morris Arts online.
