Morris Academy Students Produce Film to Show Dangers of DWI -- Especially at Prom and Graduation Seasons

(JPG, 28KB)Three students who attend the Morris County Vocational School District's Academy for Visual and Performing Arts have produced a new film, By Morning,'' to show the dangers of drinking and driving, especially for high school students during prom and graduation season.

The 18-minute film, produced by Harrison Kraft, Alexa Metro, and Danielle Cipriano (with assistance from MCST Resource Officer Richard Duda), depicts a night in which a new couple celebrating the birth of their first child and two teens struggling with parting ways for college collide in tragedy.

The producers encourage everyone to watch the video and make positive decisions throughout their lives.

"This is a remarkable effort by our county students to call attention to the troubling issue of drinking and driving. "I encourage all high school students to watch it,'' said Morris County Freeholder Tom Mastrangelo, liaison to the MCTS.

"It is especially vital during prom and graduation season, when so many young people are injured and lose their lives needlessly lost because of driving while intoxicated.''

"By Morning'' was shown this week to students at the Morris County School of Technology in Denville as part of a pre-prom mock accident presentation. Such a presentation is held each year to re-emphasize the dangers of drinking and driving.
