CCM Career Showcases Provide Insight into Top Opportunities
Tired of making minimum wage, feel trapped in a dead-end job or just not sure that you can afford college? County College of Morris (CCM) will offer two Career Showcases this month to share information on the best careers in information technology and manufacturing, including rates of pay, the demand and the education required to succeed in those fields.

The first Career Showcase, covering information technology, takes place Thursday, August 16, from 6 €“ 7 p.m. The second, covering manufacturing, takes place Saturday, August 18, from 10 €“ 11 a.m. Both sessions will be held in the Davidson Rooms in the Student Community Center, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph. Attendees can park in Lot 6 directly across from the Student Community Center.
CCM offers several associate degree programs in IT and manufacturing. Yet another option is to take non-credit continuing education courses to earn a certificate and qualify for entry level positions. There are many affordable paths to obtain the training for a rewarding career.

Individuals who attend the Career Showcases will learn about those options and have the opportunity to register right away for classes. There is also still time to apply for financial aid prior to the start of the Fall Semester at CCM on August 31.
IT degree programs offered at CCM include Information Technology, Game Development, Digital Media and Technical Studies. Credit and non-credit certificate programs include Web Development, Information Security, Media Technology, Cisco Network Associate, CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+.
Degree programs to enter the field of manufacturing include Electronics Engineering Technology, Engineering Science and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Certificate programs in Computer-Aided Drafting also are offered both for credit and non-credit.
