The concept of Fair Housing Month is to increase public awareness of the fact that all Americans have a right to fair housing opportunities, and that some residents €“ even here in Morris County €“ do not have adequate housing for themselves and their families,'' said Freeholder Director Doug Cabana.
The right to live where you choose, to raise a family and own a home in dignity, without fear of discrimination is a fundamental right to all of our residents,'' added Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo, the board's liaison on human services issues.''
The proclamation was issued at Wednesday's (April 12) freeholder work session in Morristown to Morris County Community Development Director Tim Tansey and Charles Lamb, who is past president of the Morris County Human Relations Commission.
