County College of Morris to Hold Continuing Professional Education Open House

Meet Instructors, Learn About Training and Education on Sept. 6 from 6-8 p.m.
Whether it's getting a job, obtaining a better job or succeeding in an existing one, County College of Morris is working to help individuals achieve their personal career aspirations.
(JPG, 282KB)CCM's The Workforce Development-Continuing Professional Education programs will host an Open House on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Open House provides an opportunity to meet instructors and staff, learn about education and training opportunities, sign up for courses and receive answers to questions pertaining to the courses and industry needs.
The session also will include information on where to find employers, industry salaries, training requirements and how to get started in a respective field.
CCM offers a variety of non-credit training, courses and certificates in the areas of Information Technology and Computer Training, Business Programs, Health Occupations Professional Development, English Language Learning, Career Education for Businesses and Professionals, and Online Learning.
(JPG, 10KB)CCM has been serving the greater Morris County region for 50 years, including offering workforce development programs and customized training. Thousands of individuals each year are trained through these programs by leading industry experts.
At CCM, we are very proud of the stellar instructors and robust workforce development programs we offer to the community, said Patrick Enright, associate vice president, Workforce Development and dean for the School of Professional Studies and Applied Science. These enriching programs not only benefit individuals economically, but also Morris County and beyond by strengthening the workforce.
CCM is proud to offer several new courses for Fall 2018. The business programs will offer Microsoft Project with certification exam preparation and Agile Management Certification preparation. A brand new career program is the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional.
The Information Technology and Computer Training offerings include a new five-session Python Programming training opportunity, an expanded COMPTIA Network+ Certification prep course, and a Solidworks Solid Modeling CAD course, which is a popular computer-aided design and engineering package used across all industries. The Health Occupations program is offering a new Certified Peer Recovery Specialist training.
In-demand certifications like the ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt, CISCO Networking, CompTIA A+ and Network+, APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional, PMI's Agile Project Management, AAPC's Professional Medical Coder and more. Increase your skill set and employment value by learning computer programming in Python, R or Visual Basic for Excel €“ all highly sought after skills.
