The Morris County Office of Health Management continues to closely monitor the Coronavirus situation that developed in Asia and has been spreading to other parts of the world. The county office is following the guidance of state and federal health agencies on the situation in the U.S.(JPG, 15KB)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring the outbreak of the respiratory illness caused by the virus, which was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

Additional cases have been identified in a growing number of other international locations, including the United States, where there are 14 confirmed cases.

It is important to avoid rumors about the virus, so residents are urged to obtain basic facts, FAQs, travel precautions, and prevention information which is available on both the federal and state websites.
