Published on May 05, 2018

CCM logoThere is still time to enroll for Summer Sessions at County College of Morris (CCM) to catch up on some credits and lighten a fall course load.

Courses offered cover a range of general education requirements and disciplines such as the arts, humanities, science, business, engineering, health, mathematics and more.

Also included among the offerings this year is the opportunity to earn a certificate in Culinary Arts or Restaurant Management and Event Planning. Hospitality is a popular industry to work in. According to the New York Times, Americans spend 44 percent of their food budget on eating out instead of cooking in.

The Culinary Arts certificate consists of four courses scheduled during the college's Early 5 Week summer session. Those courses consist of Serv-Safe Food Handling, Introduction to Food, Food Management and Food Production.

The Restaurant Management and Event Planning Certificate consists of a total of six courses scheduled during the Early 5 Week and Late 5 Week sessions. Courses in that program include Introduction to the Hospitality Industry, Marketing and Event Planning, Human Resource Management in the Hospitality Industry and more.
