COVID-19: Morris County Small Business Owners Can Apply for Assistance

Applications Now Being Taken
Small business owners across Morris County, who have been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, may find some relief through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that was signed into law by the President and which provides $375 billion in funding for small businesses.

The federal programs below were established or expanded by the CARES Act to provide small businesses and non-profits with additional grant and forgivable loan opportunities:
- Paycheck Protection Program
- Economic Injury Disaster Loans & Emergency Economic Injury Grants
- Employee Retention Tax Credit
Applications are being taken now for the Paycheck Protection Program, which provides cash flow assistance to companies to meet costs such as payroll, benefits, rent, mortgage interest, and utilities.
