COVID-19: Freeholders Holding Virtual Work Session and Public Meeting on Wednesday -- Video Sessions

County Residents Invited to Watch and Listen -- Make Comments at 7 p.m. Meeting

Due to the COVID-19 crisis and the need for social distancing and avoiding group gatherings, the Morris County Board of Freeholders will meet virtually on Wednesday evening, May 27. They will be adding a video option to this week's meetings.

The Freeholder Board will hold a work session at 4:30 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. regular public meeting. Public comment is only allowed at the 7 p.m. public session.

"We continue to operate county government during this crisis, to deal with the COVID-19 crisis and all of the other important functions of county government from social services and public safety issues, to mosquito control and road and bridge projects,'' said Freeholder Director Deborah Smith. "But we continue to be vigilant regarding social distancing and public gatherings, so we invite you to join our county government meetings remotely for now.''

Residents are invited to watch or listen at 4:30 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. At the later meeting, there will be a public comment period that will be announced by the Freeholder Director Smith.
