CCM and Bloomfield College Sign Guaranteed Transfer Agreement

County College of Morris and Bloomfield College have formally signed their first Guaranteed Transfer Agreement, which takes effect on Sept. 18, when the fall semester begins.

This agreement will enable CCM students in the Teachers Education programs to complete their associate degree and seamlessly transfer as a junior in good standing to Bloomfield College's Division of Education B.A. in Education program. That program concentrating on elementary education with subject matter specialization.
Attending the Feb. 16 signing ceremony at CCM's Randolph campus were CCM President Anthony J. Iacono; CCM vice presidents Bette Simmons and Dwight Smith; Bloomfield College President Richard A. Levao; Bloomfield College Vice President and Dean of Faculty Tresmaine Grimes; and Carolyn Spies, associate vice president, Bloomfield College.

The agreement admits the following CCM associate degree holders into Bloomfield College:
- A.S. in Teacher Education with a Biology Education Specialization, Chemistry Education Specialization, or Mathematics Education Specialization;
- A.A. in Teacher Education with English Education Specialization, Social Studies (History) Education Specialization, Social Studies (Psychology) Education Specialization or Social Studies (Sociology) Education Specialization.
County College of Morris fosters an environment where students are guided on a path to academic success to earn an associate degree and continue on to an accredited four-year institution if they desire, remarked President Iacono. We are excited about our new partnership with Bloomfield College. Together CCM and Bloomfield are providing students with a great opportunity to build the future of their dreams.

We are always looking for ways to assist students in continuing their education. This agreement allows students to get their start at County College of Morris and then transfer to Bloomfield College to complete their bachelor's degree.
