CCM Softball Coach Celebrates His 400th Titan Win

First Seeded CCM Takes on Mercer CC on May 4 During Titan Weekend

A celebration erupted on the County College of Morris softball field when a doubleheader sweep against Raritan Valley Community College Friday gave Lady Titans' Coach Greg Wardlow his 400th win with the team.

With sparkling confetti raining down, team members gathered around home plate to celebrate the win. They presented a banner to Wardlow, of Mount Freedom.

All of his 400 wins are a testament to his dedication and hard work. Coach Wardlow puts a lot of time and effort into this softball program, said Jack Sullivan, director of Athletics at CCM. I am very proud to work with him and also proud that he represents CCM on the field. This accomplishment doesn't happen overnight.

Wardlow joined the Titans in 2005. His coaching background includes 25 years as player/manager for the Kings Athletic Club of Central Jersey, a highly successful men's softball team. Wardlow also served as head coach of the 18U Old Bridge Knights, winning two Central Jersey championships in the New York /New Jersey travel league.

CCM participates in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIX. Last year the Lady Titans finished with a record of 34-9, and finished as the runner-up in the region's playoffs. For Spring 2019, the Lady Titans are currently the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Region XIX Softball Tournament that will be held at CCM during the college's Titan Weekend on May 4 and 5. The CCM softball team also won the Garden State Athletic Conference championship for 2019.
