The quality of the work was overwhelming, and the members of the CCM Photo Club had an extremely hard time selecting the finalists, said Hrvoje Slovenc, assistant professor of photography, who oversees the contest.
Honorable Mentions were Zach Belasco and Liv Caruso from Bridgewater Raritan High School, Kali Cipkins from Parsippany Hills High School, Mallory Collins from Sparta High School, Alexa George from Bridgewater Raritan High School, Olivia Greenberg from Morris Knolls High School, Arthur Harner from Sparta High School, Quinn McCarry from Morris Knolls High School, Avianna Miler from Whippany Park High School, Emma Mykowski from Parsippany Hills High School, Luke Simmons from Sparta High School, and Kayla Urtiaga.

The contest was open to all New Jersey high school students. This year's theme, Turbulent Times, provided students with an opportunity to visually present the complexities of conflict, disorder and confusion.
The winners were announced at an exhibition and reception held at the CCM Art and Design Gallery earlier this month. Photo Club members served as judges for the event.
Of the more than 600 submissions received from dozens of high schools around the state, 68 were selected for the exhibition. High schools featured in the exhibition included Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Morris Knolls High School, Mountain Lakes High School, Newark Academy, North Hunterdon High School, Parsippany Hills High School, Pompton Lakes High School, Roxbury High School, Sparta High School, Randolph High School, Westfield High School, West Milford High School and
Windsor Prep High School.
