CCM Performances: "East of Eden,'' Winter Concert and Dance Theatre Upcoming

County College of Morris' Department of Music, Dance and Performing Arts has several major productions coming up in the next few weeks, starting this week with "East of Eden,'' from Nov. 16-18, to be staged at Dragonetti Auditorim on the college's Randolph campus.

(JPG, 261KB) CCM's Dance Theatre takes place Dec. 14-15. Admission is free.

It will be followed by the Winter Music Concert on Dec. 1 and Dance Theatre on Dec. 14 and 15.

CCM is proud to present the NJ/NY premiere of John Steinbeck's classic novel East of Eden,which also was the basis for an award winning film with an iconic performance by James Dean.

Escaping a turbulent past, Adam Trask is determined to make a new start in California's Salinas Valley. But family history, sibling rivalry, and the impending danger of World War I will threaten his family's little piece of paradise.

Performance are Nov. 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. General Admission is $15; CCM students, alumni and seniors 62 and older, $10.

Spend the evening of Dec. 1 wrapped in the warmth of performances by CCM's Concert Choir and Wind Ensemble bringing to life the sounds of the season in their annual Winter Concert.

The Winter Concert takes place on Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m., in the Student Community Center, Dragonetti Auditorium. Admission is free.

Also presented by the CCM Department of Music, Dance and Performing Arts is "Dance Theatre,'' on Dec. 14 and 15, at 7:30 p.m. both nights, in the college's Music Technology Center Performance Lab. It will include informal showing of new works in creation by CCM dance majors, faculty and guest artistes.
