Morristown Glassblowing Studio Presents New Opportunities
County College of Morris has partnered with the Morris County School of Glass this fall to offer a new glassblowing class to CCM students.
ART-250 Beginning Glassblowing I is a three-credit, free elective course in which students can learn about the history of glassblowing and create delicate, crafted glasswork. Currently, the college is holding one class at the School of Glass for CCM students. The college plans to offer the class again in the spring semester.

The ability to offer a glassblowing class for CCM students would not have been possible without the help of Arnie and Pat Plonski, owners of the Morris County School of Glass, said Bruce Dutra, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts.
After taking glassblowing classes years ago, the Plonskis wanted to bring their passion to Morris County. They purchased a small gas station garage on the outskirts of Morristown and spent two and a half years renovating the building. The School of Glass opened to the public this past spring.
Everyone is very excited to see this class gain interest, says Arnie Plonski. The students are learning a lot and enjoying every minute of it.
Both the Plonskis and Dutra believe that with enough interest, more classes will be offered next school year.
