(JPG, 149KB)The County College of Morris (CCM) Foundation will honor Investors Bank, the largest bank headquartered in New Jersey, with its 2017 Edward J. Yaw Leadership Award for outstanding community service.
The presentation will be part of the foundation's fundraising gala, to be held on Friday, May 5, at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel.
The award, established in 2010, honors an individual, corporation or organization that has supported CCM and contributed to improving the quality of life in Morris County. Last year, it was renamed the Edward J. Yaw Leadership Award in honor of CCM's second president.
This is an opportunity to acknowledge and recognize Investors for its commitment to our community, especially the many charities and non-profits that it serves, said Joseph Vitale, president of the CCM Foundation. Investors is a model of what a true community bank should be €“ a good corporate citizen with a tradition of giving back at the heart of everything it does.
In addition to honoring Investors, the foundation will recognize four graduates with its annual Alumni Awards:
- Zaher Shabani '01 of Quakertown, PA, manager of operations in the manufacturing division at Merck & Co., Inc. (Alumnus of the Year);
- George Milonas '98 of Wharton, director of corporate security and investigations for Avis Budget Group (Alumni Achievement);
- Roseann Maione '93, '94 of Flanders, supervisor of the computer labs at CCM (Alumni Service);
- Martin Ebelhardt '87 of Minneapolis, MN, special agent, criminal investigator within the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Office of Inspection and Investigations/Internal Affairs (Alumni Humanitarian).
In addition to music by the Motones, CCM's performing arts students will be presenting selections from the college's spring musical, Little Mermaid. An extensive silent auction, including Broadway theater tickets, vacation packages and collectibles, will also be offered to attendees.
