Boonton Township 150th Birthday Celebration on Saturday (July 15)

(JPG, 8KB)On Saturday, July 15, Boonton Township will celebrate its 150th birthday with a daylong free celebration that will include a picnic, games and inflatables for the kids, entertainment, a perfomance by the West Point Band, and culminating in an evening fireworks display under the stars.
All county residents are invited to attend this free event (items from the food trucks and beer truck are not free). Bring your blanket and lawn chairs.
The event will be held at the Rockaway Valley Aerodrome, Rockaway Valley Aerodrome Fields, Boonton Township, NJ 07005 (see the map)

The West Point Band will offer a performance of American and patriotic fare featuring the music of Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, George M. Cohan, John Philip Sousa, and more.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
3-9 p.m.: Food trucks and beer truck
3- 7 p.m.: Township Picnic - antique cars, inflatables for kids; wagon rides, giveaways, music, and more.
6:30-7 p.m.: Official program
7 p.m.: West Point Band concert (expected 90 minutes)
9 p.m.: Fireworks
PARKING:
Please park at the former Aircraft Radio Corp lot, entering at 429 Rockaway Valley Road. Police urge residents to carpool if possible.
