Learn new ways to look at all aspects of the gardening process such as designing your garden, choosing and planting trees, soil conservation, critter issues, and so much more.
Dr. Benjamin Blackburn's contributions to the Morris County Park Commission are celebrated every year with the giving of a scholarship in his name by The Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, and proceeds from this lecture benefit the Blackburn Scholarship, currently offered to students of the Landscape Technology program at County College of Morris.
Blackburn taught botany at Drew University, authored numerous books and papers on horticulture, and hosted a popular radio program for many years. His work at facilities of the Morris County Park Commission were important contributions to the continuing legacy of beauty at these properties.
The cost of this program is $30 for members of the Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum and $35 for non-members. Please register by January 28. The snow date for this program is Sunday, February 4. For more information and directions to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, visit arboretumfriends.org.
