Senior Citizen Program Aide- Nutrition

Morris County Office of Nutrition Program is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Citizen Program Aide. Under direction performs a variety of tasks to assist the Morris County Nutrition Program serving congregate meals, and delivering home delivered meals to county residents 60 and over.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Packaging hot meals for home deliveries
• Preparing center for congregate clients
• Serving of meals in dining area to congregate
• Cleaning responsibilities of kitchen utensils and assist in kitchen preparations and clean up on a daily basis
• Supplies stored orderly and inventory stocked
• Supply site coverage for the Site Manager when needed
• Ability to interpret rules and regulations and apply them to specific situations
• Ability to maintain essential records and files
• Checks, cleans, and performs minor servicing of vehicles
• Assume other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Appointee must possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey, with a positive driving record
• Ability to relate to program participants and to deal efficiently with their needs and problems
• Follow instructions and provide necessary assistance to those in need
• Utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position
