Information for Poll Workers

This page is intended for people who have already signed up to become poll workers.

Responsibilities

  1. Report to work at your assigned polling place at 5:00 a.m. on election day.
  2. Prepare the polling place for voting.
  3. Verify that voters are registered in the district.
  4. Demonstrate the voting process to voters upon request.
  5. Maintain order at the polls.
  6. Close the polling location at 8:00 p.m. or when all voters in line have voted.

Training

Classes

Classes are held at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Ave, Parsippany, in the Auditorium. Special classes are held at other locations within the county, for information email us at elections@co.morris.nj.us or call us at 973-285-8350.
