Morris County Sheriff's Office Hope One Program Highlighted on WCBS News Radio's "Stories From Main Street"

The Morris County Sheriff's Office's Hope One mobile recovery and resource vehicle, which has logged 6,517 contacts with people since its launch in April 2017, was the focus of a profile by newsman Sean Adams on his WCBS News Radio show "Stories From Main Street."

The interview that Adams conducted with Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon was woven into a story about Hope One's innovative approach to helping people struggling with opioid addiction overcome the disorder.

"We don't walk from anyone," Sheriff Gannon said for the story that aired Monday, April 15.

"It's not three strikes and you're out. We will help anyone who needs help and sometimes it takes a number of times to do it," Sheriff Gannon said.

Hope One, which stops twice a week in communities in Morris County to offer assistance with treatment options, mental health services and free Narcan training, made its 251st stop on April 15 at the Dover Library.
