THE STATE HAS ADVISED THAT ELECTRONICALLY STOLEN SNAP/WFNJ BENEFITS ARE NO LONGER BEING REPLACED. THE STATE IS CREATING SAFETY FEATURES WHICH WILL BE COMING OUT SOON.
This full-day course is designed to give the patrol officers options for handling problem bears and will provide classroom and hands-on range training in the use of equipment and conditioning techniques. Students will learn the biology of the Black Bear as well as New Jersey laws that pertain to them.
The classroom portion will be conducted at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy from 9:00 a.m. until Noon (registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.).
The field exercises will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Black River Range, 275 North Road, Chester, NJ 07930 (Route 513, Dover-Chester Road)
Wildlife Control officials from the New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife as well as Conservation Officers will be the instructors.
NOTE: Students need to bring a duty issued shotgun, 10 shotgun slugs, eye and hearing protection for the range portion of the class.
