Weapons Recovered in Lincoln Park

Acting Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Lincoln Park Police Chief Mark West announce the investigation and recovery of a quantity of weapons from a Lincoln Park, New Jersey residence.  
On June 1, 2014, the Lincoln Park Police Department responded to 209 Comly Road, Apartment L29 in response to a call from a concerned citizen about the possibility of numerous weapons inside the residence.  As a result, various law enforcement agencies responded to the location. 
The weapons were recovered from the residence and rendered safe.  Neighboring residents in the area had been evacuated upon the initial response from law enforcement.  All residents have returned to their homes and there is no threat to the public.  At this time, criminal charges have not been filed and the matter remains under investigation.   
Multiple law enforcement authorities responded to this incident, including the Lincoln Park Police Department, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Homeland Security Unit, the Morris County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad, the Morris County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Section, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
