Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chester Township Police Chief Wayne Martini announce an update and confirm an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred in Chester Township, New Jersey. On October 12, 2014, at approximately 4:37 p.m., law enforcement was dispatched to Alstede Farms located at 1 Alstede Farms Lane, Chester New Jersey on a report of pedestrians struck by a vehicle.
While the investigation is ongoing, the fatality of one minor child has been confirmed. Two adults also sustained injuries as a result of the incident. At this time, the identities of these individuals are not being released.
No further updates are anticipated today.
