Two Detectives Join Morris County Prosecutor’s Office

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally announce the hiring of Jocelyn Allen and Jazmin Munoz-Felder as Detectives for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. A swearing in ceremony was held on May 6, 2024.
Detective Allen will be assigned to the Domestic Violence Unit within the Family Division.
Detective Allen most recently served as a Police Detective with the Newark Police Department, where she was assigned to the department’s legal affairs unit and assisted partner agencies with evidence collection in preparation for legal proceedings. Allen also served as a first responder while assigned to patrol, earning recognition for actions taken in the line of duty, including saving the life of a man attempting suicide by jumping from an elevated position. She also worked as a medical receptionist at Clara Maass Hospital and an Arbitration/Billing clerk for a private company.
Detective Allen has completed several certifications, including graduating from the Essex County Police Academy.
Detective Munoz-Felder will be assigned to the Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit within the Tactical Division.
Detective Munoz-Felder previously served as a Detective and Detective Supervisor in the Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office from 2013 until 2020. During her time with the MCPO, she participated in interviews of allegations involving child endangerment or sexual assault, in addition to overt and covert operations pertaining to human trafficking, and assisting partner agencies at the municipal, county, state, and federal levels with investigations.
Detective Munoz-Felder most recently served as a Detective in the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, assigned to the Special Victims Unit. There she prepared search warrants, executed operations plans, and conducted investigations into alleged child endangerment or sexual assault. She was also the liaison for human trafficking and Internet Crimes Against Children for the purpose of assisting other law enforcement agencies with investigations.
She also served as a Police Officer for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) Police and the Middlesex County College Police Departments.
Detective Munoz-Felder has earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Union County College/Ocean County College, and has completed several professional trainings.
