For the third time, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Chief Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury joined WMTR's show titled, Ask the Expert, hosted by Jessie Frees on Sunday, October 28, 2018. The last time that Prosecutor Knapp and CAP Seabury were on the show in July, they discussed the success of Operation Helping Hand in which various law enforcement agencies offered substance abuse treatment as an alternative to incarceration for those arrested for drug offenses over a one-week period.
Sunday's program focused on another important initiative held by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Operation Take Back, which was created by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. This program is held twice a year to encourage citizens to turn in unused or expired prescription drugs for proper disposal. The second Operation Take Back day of the year was held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, and yielded an impressive amount of prescription drugs.
Prosecutor Knapp stated, We are thankful that WMTR and Jessie Frees invited us back on her show to share the important initiatives conducted by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and our local law enforcement partners. Jessie is always a pleasure to work with.
