Prosecutor Knapp and Chief Assistant Prosecutor Seabury Joined WMTR's Jessie Frees for Follow-Up Interview on Opioids in Morris County

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Chief Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury joined Jessie Frees of WMTR's show titled, Ask the Expert on Sunday, July 22, 2018. This was a follow-up to an interview that focused on the Heroin and Opioid Epidemic in Morris County, and the successes of the Narcan 2.0 program, which aired on February 4, 2018.

The interview focused on the success of Operation Helping Hand, the program that ran from June 11, 2018 through June 15, 2018. The various agencies involved in Operation Helping Hand offered substance abuse treatment as an alternative to incarceration for those arrested throughout that week for drug offenses.

Prosecutor Knapp and CAP Seabury also discussed the upcoming event, The Opioid Crisis: Engaging the Community, which is being hosted by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and local partners. It will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Christ Church in Rockaway Township, and will run from 7:00pm through 9:00pm. Former NFL Star, Vance Johnson, will headline the event.
