On May 20, 2019 at approximately 9:01 a.m, a Township of Randolph Police vehicle was involved in a three vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 10 and Millbrook Avenue, Randolph New Jersey.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the Randolph Police vehicle was struck by a vehicle while responding to an unrelated emergency call. A third vehicle was also impacted during the collision. The Randolph Police Department officer and one of the other motorists were transported for medical treatment, however it does not appear that any of the injuries were life threatening. No additional information will be released at this time, including the identity of any persons involved and the extent of any injuries sustained by the individuals, as the investigation is ongoing. No criminal charges have been filed.
This matter is being investigated by the Randolph Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit.
