MCPO PBA 327 Participates in Backpack Giveaway Program
Published on August 23, 2023
On August 18 and 20, 2023, members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joined the KAT Team and Table of Hope Backpack Giveaway events, providing backpacks and school supplies to local kids. The events were held at the Community College of Morris and in South Plainfield, which also offered free food and haircuts to members of the community.
In advance of the events, New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association (PBA) Local No. 327, which represents Detectives serving in the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO), made donations to KAT Team and Table of Hope towards the program. The donations, in the amount of $250.00 each, were presented to KAT TEAM Board Member Angelica Nols and to Table of Hope Director Teresa Williams on August 10 at the MCPO office and mobile food pantry event in Morristown.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office remains committed to assist our communities in providing help in material ways, especially when we can make a real difference in the lives of our younger generations and children through educational assistance. I commend our ardent Community Affairs personnel and the members of our office who dedicate their time in these important events and thank the KAT TEAM, Table of Hope, PBA No. 327, and all who helped make the Giveaway a great success!”
