Published on August 27, 2019

Members of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office will be speaking at two events on August 28, 2019 in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, which is a global event held every year. It was created in 2001 in Australia to raise awareness of drug overdoses and to spread the message that overdose deaths are preventable.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Morris County Prosecutor's Office Chief Assistant Prosecutor Seabury will be speaking at the 4th Annual Overdose Awareness Day held on the Morristown Green. The program on the Green will run from 1pm-3pm.

Later in the evening, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Seabury will be presenting at St. Simons Church in Rockaway Township. This program will run from 6pm-9pm. At both programs, he will be discussing the Heroin and Opioid Epidemic, as well as the measures that the Morris County Prosecutor's Office has taken to combat the epidemic.

Both programs are open to the public, free to attend and provide a great opportunity to learn more about the efforts being taken to save lives and combat addiction throughout Morris County.
